I don't have a monitor currently picked out for the build, so if anyone has a good suggestion for a good monitor that'd be sick. I'm trying to keep the build under 1,000 USD (not including monitors and taxes and all that junk). I feel like I can do better in some areas of the build, specifically the CPU cooler and the RAM sticks,

Thanks in advance!

Swap over to the Phantom Spirit cooler from thermaltake as well for a slightly better cooler. I would also suggest getting G Skill RAM for a few dollars more, they come with a lifetime warranty from good company.

Sounds like with what you've got above, that should be decent for the budget.

Splitting hairs here as the 650 should be more than enough, but you may consider seeing how much an 850 watt psu is also so that you are set if you decide to get a wild hair and upgrade the gpu in a year or so.
