Basically, I'm going to buy a new SSD and I'll need to install Windows on it.
Every tutorial I found did not address this problem. I do not have a product key. I have Windows 10 with the very annoying watermark. In the tutorials they say that after booting the Windows installer through the BIOS, to insert the product key and it should work normally and install. But what if I don't have a product key? From what I've seen the Windows version with the watermark is free. But I can't understand how that works since nobody addresses it. Can someone help? Thanks!

I'm not quite clear on what you don't understand.

My understanding is that Windows can be installed without a key. You end up with the watermark version as you have now. I've never used it, but I think there are some limitations on customization?

I'd think you can install the free version via USB.

How did you install your current watermarked version?

Its a pretty long story lmao. I believe that I've mad a thread about my windows 10 some time ago. Basically I got this pc used from a shop in my city. When I got it it had Windows 10 Pro and it was activated, but for some reason, exactly a year later windows started showing the watermark and apperently my product key did not work anymore. I really have no idea what happened and it didn't bother me much so i never looked up anything about it.
Anyways, sorry for not being very clear on what my problem was. You told me exactly what I needed though. Thanks.
