I need to replace the USB charger port and cable on a MacBook A1534 EMC2991. I noticed that the part is quite expensive. Would a USB charger port and cable from an older 2015 MacBook A1534 work with it ?
The part looks the same. The only difference I can see is that the older part has a removable cable on the USB socket side. On the newer one the cable is fixed in place. The reason I'm asking is because the part from the older model is less than half the price of the newer one.
