Question I only have a 4 pin connector for my CPU when I need an 8 pin

What CPU are you trying to power? Many Ryzen APU's and CPU's don't really need the power delivery of an 8 pin and will get along just fine with a 4 pin connector.

That aside: if your current PSU only offers a single 4 pin connector it may be pretty old. If so, it would still be a good idea to update the PSU with a good one.

I have a Asus tuf gaming 450W bronze psu and it doesn't have replaceable cords. Also I have an amd 5 5600G if that changes anything

though as noted above, your mobo only needs a 4 pin connection anyway so you should be good to go.

keep in mind the 8 pin will split into 2 4 pin connections, so you may be looking at half of it and not realize it is actually 2 4-pins that merge to make the 8-pin

I'd have no worries running a 5600G on a 4 pin connector. Now, as to the PSU...I'd have to say 450W, especially a Bronze unit, is quite substandard in modern systems. If not running a discrete GPU it will probably be OK but if ever upgrading to one be sure to factor in the cost of a new PSU along with it. I'll leave others to critique brand and model...if it's needed.

You are good.
Are you using the 5600g graphics, or a discrete card?
Aux cpu eps power is needed for High powered processors, overclocking or multiple pcie graphics cards; none of which you have.
Some motherboards will require that the connector be plugged, regardless if the power is needed or not.
