Question I plugged in my 8 pin power for my cpu but not my 4 pin, can this affect audio?

I installed a new motherboard and new CPU and my audio has dropped an octave and is slowed. Is this the result of a bad chipset, user error, could it be that the 4 pin to the CPU affects the audio or something else?

What audio drivers are being used?

Source?

Manually download the applicable audio drivers directly from the manufacturer's website. Reinstall and reconfigure. No third party tools or installers.

Was this a full, fresh, properly done Windows install or did you just slap the old OS drive onto the new motherboard?
