[SOLVED] I really cant find my mobo's manualand cant figure out the front panel

Im working on a "new" build for my friend. Took all his hardware from the old one to a new case and I cant find why it wont turn on. I've tried everything. I've checked the ram and psu cables. I've also tried to connect the power sw cable to different pins on the front panel but none worked and i cant find this motherboard's manual. Its asus h110 -i/m32cd4/dp_mb rev 1.01 and the front panel has only 12 pins https://www.ebay.com/itm/264481835391

Now its not easy to find that one.

the others appear to be MATX or smaller
H110M - K - https://www.asus.com/au/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/All-series/H110M-K/HelpDesk_Manual/
H110M-A/DP - Micro ATX and appears its mostly in OEM systems for enterprises,

its not this one - https://www.asus.com/Motherboards-Components/Motherboards/All-series/H110I-PLUS/ as it looks different
but its about closest I have got to it.

someone was looking for the same manual 2 years ago and could only find the upgraded versions.

I would be surprised if the front connections have changed that much, so you could try one of the newer model manuals and see if it helps.

The front panel is much different in the newer models. I tried the method with the screwdriver to see if I can turn on the PC without the power button but there was no sign. I dont know if there is another problem other than the power button but I cant figure it out because I dont know which are the right pins on the front panel.

System panel connector 20-8 could be what you want (20-8 = 12, I have no idea why they type it that way)

• System power led (2 pin PWR_LED)
• HDD activity (2 pin HDD_LED)
• System warning speaker (4 pin Speaker)
• ATX Power button/Soft off Button (2 pin PWRSW)
• Reset Button (2 pin reset)

manual has a picture too which might be useful if mb has no labels

Thats the panel, thank you. I connected the power sw to the right pins but still pc wont turn on. Is it possible to damage the motherboard by connecting the power sw to the wrong pins?

I wouldn't think so, you aren't putting power through the pins from the cables, mb should be powering the led/switches, not other way around

So I assume mb worked in old case? what else did you change?

Yes it worked in the old case and I just put a new ram. I also tried putting back the old ram but still it doesnt turn on

I placed new thermal paste on CPU just in case that was the problem but no...
