So I have the same problem as the guy in this thread: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/reset-my-pc-now-i-have-no-hard-drive-space.2889729/

Kept personal files, but deleted everything else when given the option of resetting my PC. But I still have the same amount of Hard Drive space available. Someone told the guy in the other thread to find the windows.old file by using the Disc Cleanup feature and delete it, but he said he couldn't find it. And neither can I. The question was never resolved, but it's been a real problem for me. Hoping someone can help me.

Did you go though the system to see what is taking up the files? Check Program Files? Need some better details about the issue, how much stuff was uninstalled? If you run the disk cleanup utility, did you select options such at "old setup files", etc.. to delete? Install and run WinDirStat, it will show you what is using what space.

It says I have over 600 gigs taking up apps and games, but when I got to see the storage itself, there's almost nothing there for me to delete. I've tried looking through programs like Revo Uninstaller but nothing really comes up.

When I restarted my computer, but kept the personal files, it seemed as though everything was gone except my stuff in files (Like Documents, Pictures, etc.). I had to redownload everything, but before I did, the storage still said it was taking up as much space as it had before I reset my computer. A friend of mine, as well as a few people, said after a month or so, the storage seemed to reset itself, but it never happened to me. After looking up more about it, people said they found a Windows.old folder in their %appdata% search, but mine is nowhere to be found.

In the Disk Cleanup, there is no option for "old setup files", at least none that I can see. I have both a harddrive and a SSD. I'll show you what it says for both at the disk cleanup.

This has some of the images. I can't run what you said right now since I have to go to work, but I'll do it when I come back: View: https://imgur.com/a/wOGrGlG

With what you posted there is no way to see what the actual file use it. Run the WinDirStat utility, check on what it shows you is taking up the space. You will see blocks of storage space. colored and sorted by type and location.

Is that drive L actually empty? If you only have two drives, why is the second drive L? Should be D or maybe E unless you setup a bunch of partitions for some reason.

Got it. That helped me locate where it was, it was the only thing that would tell me, so thanks!

Just in case you were wondering, that L drive was not empty, it's where I keep most of the stuff. Don't know why it comes up empty. Just named it L since that's what my name starts with.

Thanks again!
