Hi, i used mflash to update the motherboard BIOS, following all the instructions from msi’s video perfectly. It started off fine but after about 5 mins the screen went black. I’m aware of the importance of not touching it when bios is updating so just left it. 3 hours later and no change i had no choice but to turn it off but now it won’t start or show any signs of power.
I have tried taking out the cmos battery and shorting the connecter for a significant amount of time but still nothing.
Anything else i can try or is it dead?

Specs:
Motherboard = Msi pro b660m - g
Cpu= 12600kf
Gpu= Sapphire pulse 9070xt
ram= 32gb ddr4 3200mhz (2x 16gb)
Psu = TXM 750W (5 years old)
Drives = Samsung 2.5 2tb and Crucial 2tb nvme

The flash was from a usb drive

I was updating it as I'm upgrading from a 12th to a 14th gen CPU.

Try again but use the procedure provided in the motherboard's User Guide/Manual.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used)?

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

List all attached peripherals.

I’ve updated post with as much as i know about it's specs, I hope that’s sufficient.

This motherboard?

Verify that I found the applicable User Manual.

Did you follow the JBAT1 procedure provided on physically numbered Page 18?

Before doing anything: read/review the entire manual to verify and double check everything. Pay close attention to all notes, warnings, fine print, and direction to go online for more up-to-date information.

Hopefully there is just some error of omission or commision that needs to be corrected.

Take your time, make notes, leave nothing to doubt.

That is correct. I have followed the whole procedure the best i can and now need some help

That's tough. I would first check the wall outlet to make sure it has power. Next, make sure the on/off switch on the power supply is not turned off and the supply is working correctly. Check that the power connector to the motherboard is securely fastened. If there's anything else you were messing with, such as the cpu or ram, check they're seated properly. Also, look to see what the motherboard's led lights indicate. There should be boot, vga, dram and cpu leds. Do they light up at all? See if you can call msi support. Look for the same or similar m/b on eBay. That's all I have.

As a general observation that 5 year old TXM 750W PSU is a likely suspect.

May be at or nearing its designed in EOL (End of Life).

Do you have another available PSU to swap in? Remember to use only the cables that come with the swapped in PSU.

Before doing anything ensure that all important data is backed up at least 2 x to locations away from problem computer. Verify that the backups are recoverable and readable.
