I think I may have broken my graphics card. What do?

I just purchased two ASUS Strix GTX 970's and, after attempting to install them both, have realised one is broken. I don't know whether I accidentally did it or it came like that but I have no idea what the things I have broken are called and I do not know what I can do to repair them. Will they be replaced by the shop I have bought them from or will they do the repair themselves?

Any help is appreciated.

The damage can be seen in the pictures below.

Thanks guys.

How on earth did you manage to damage that part of the card?
Are you sure it's damaged? Does the other card have the same missing chips?

It wouldn't be user repairable (Well....it possibly could be but you would need to find the exact chips to use)

I'm not sure that would be covered under warranty, they would probably say its user physical damage, but you could try returning it.

Well, I honestly don't know how that part of the card got damaged. I wouldn't have a clue how to repair that part of the card but would it be something that a computer repair shop would be able to do?

Is the video card gone or is it still savable?
