Hello Folks! While playing any game i realized that my case is getting very hot. I thought it was because of the graphic card but according to these images i think it's because of the CPU. CPU temps are very high right?

My Rig:
i74790k
Gigabyte H97 gaming 3 mobo
16 gb ram
Gigabyte g1 gtx 970
cooler master k350 case
cooler master extreme 625 psu

If yes then what should I do? Thanks

Solution

both temps are very high. you definitely need an exhaust fan behind the cpu. that's the first thing you need to do. the 4790K runs hot, and i do recommend an aftermarket cooler for overclocking, but your temps are too high for stock settings on both the cpu and gpu. i have two intake fans - one front top and one on bottom, along with one exhaust - top rear, and my temps are usually around 60 C on CPU and 65 C on GPU. proper airflow is the best remedy. a CPU blower isn't going to help much if its only circulating hot air!
IS anybody there? lovely people at tom's hardware I need you help. I still don't have a good solution to all of this. I'm thinking to adjust my air flow and get an after market cooler. This is the solution right? If yes then please recommend me a good fan and after market cooler from this website. www.czone.com.pk

I did that and so far my the cpu goes till 80c at heavy load. it's definitely better then before but people say the optimum temps are 65 to 70c. I'm still testing though so don't take this as the final result.

there are other solutions other than the physical construction, as well. it's normal for stress testing to bring the temps way high like that on this CPU with stock cooler, but gaming doesn't push your CPU that hard, and you should sit well under 80 C. that's why i suggested your air flow is impeded.

aside from that, check this thread on intel forums, specifically: lowering boost TDP

I have already mounted a rear exhaust fan as you said. If I add another intake fan on the bottom of my case it would help my temps right? since you have the same setup.

I don't understand anything in those links lol....I'm playing a game right now and so far temps are going till 80....People if you can please simplify things for me that will be great. sorry to bother all of you once again.

any cooler would really be better than the stock one. but check out the noctua NH-L12, it will fit and has good performance. might consider a better case? one with better airflow and support for a bigger cooler. also, another option is a closed loop water cooler that you could mount to one of the exhaust fan slots.

BTW I know case is the problem because just now i did a test. I was playing a game and cpu temps went to 90 and while playing the same game i just open the side pannel of my case and temps were around 75 to 77 then.....Hence proven that this is a pathetic case for such a system
