Hello Folks! While playing any game i realized that my case is getting very hot. I thought it was because of the graphic card but according to these images i think it's because of the CPU. CPU temps are very high right?

My Rig:
i74790k
Gigabyte H97 gaming 3 mobo
16 gb ram
Gigabyte g1 gtx 970
cooler master k350 case
cooler master extreme 625 psu

If yes then what should I do? Thanks

Solution

both temps are very high. you definitely need an exhaust fan behind the cpu. that's the first thing you need to do. the 4790K runs hot, and i do recommend an aftermarket cooler for overclocking, but your temps are too high for stock settings on both the cpu and gpu. i have two intake fans - one front top and one on bottom, along with one exhaust - top rear, and my temps are usually around 60 C on CPU and 65 C on GPU. proper airflow is the best remedy. a CPU blower isn't going to help much if its only circulating hot air!
the Problem is SOLVED Everyone. Thanks a lot for your help.....I went to buy a case but end up putting two fans on my current case. One on top ( by opening the dust cage) and one on the side. Both Exhaust.....The average temperature of CPU is around 71 to 73 max and 66 of the GPU.

UPDATE: People I think the problem still persist. As I didn't test in every game at that certain time but I have experienced my cpu is going to 99C in CRYSIS 3.....but only in Crysis 3....Other then that I have tried Far cry 4, dying Light and Metal Gear 5....My temps were normal in all of the games but CRYSIS 3.....99c is a lot...There was an airflow problem in my case but its better now since the CPU temps of far cry4 and dying light are way better.... I guess Now I have to go for a CPU Cooler??.. But the thing is the only Cooler that is available yet would fit in my case is Cooler master hyper 103....That's it.....🙁

It means I have to spend so much money. In order to fit 212 into my case I would have to get a new one because 212 won't fit in my shitty case. The new case plus the cooler will make me broke. 🙁 and the only cooler which will fit into my case plus available in my region is Cooler Master Hyper 103. That's it....🙁 🙁

Thanks TofuLion for the advice....I have installed Hyper 103 and I was playing crysis 3 a while ago. My CPU temps went to 80C maximum, I know it's not the best result but its still better then 99C.

I'm going to test my CPU for at least a day or two more...If I see any uncertain or High Temp result then I will definitely post here. Thanks a lot everybody on this forum. You guys are the best!

well there is no real definite answer, but i would guess at least 5 C lower at full load. also, your RAM speed (more importantly it's voltage) matters as well. i'm sure you have DDR3-1600 and it's running at 1.5 volts since that's pretty average.

Okay I will try it today and post the results over here.....and yes my RAM is DDR-3 and the speed is 1866mhz (Kingston Hyper x) but since I have H97 mobo so it runs at 1600 mhz....I bought this ram because it looked cool and was on discount....

How does RAM speed and power affect overall temps?

Sorry for the late reply!

Temps wise it worked out amazing. I tested crysis 3 with disabling turbo boost and while the playing the game the temperature of 4790k stayed under 70c averaging at around 60 to 66 or sometimes 67c. I will by doing more testing of it as well.

I noticed a very tiny/slight performance decrease while playing crysis 3 and using my pc generally. Maybe it is this (disabling Turbo boost) or just my mind playing tricks on me.

Yes Disabling Turbo Boost will cause a significant decrease in performance, but that CPU is still very powerful, If you ar running rendering applications then you might want to keep it on to lower render times, but for games it will make almost no impact, as you are always going to be GPU bottlenecked with that CPU.
