So i just built my first computer, it ran fine on everything brand new. I didn't have the graphics card just yet. And i was waiting to get and old and well used card from my friend. When we plugged everything into the computer (the card) which was an old gtx 550 ti. It didn't take long before an explosion happened. My friend saw it close to the cpu. Alot of smoke filled my room and i turned the psu off. Thou it still fucking gave piwer to the pc. Until my friend dragged out the cable. So we hoped it was the graphics card. We took it out. It ran on a single 6 pin. We started it again, and nothing started. Thou one mire explosion happened. Close to the cpu again. I think we killed the cpu, because nothing starts in the computer. But the cpu looks fine, the paste isn't burnt. Nor any burn marks on the cpu itself. Can i do anything or is it just to throw and save up one more year?
