Hi - a good quality 650w PSU will run that system, you don't need 750-850 (but no harm in either except to
your wallet). However, unless there are extenuating circumstances, such as a gr8 deal or you already own the 690, I'd agree with maurelie that you should look to a different GPU.

My budget is about $6000 and I just want the top of the line parts for it. Its for gaming and why is the 690 bad, i read an article that said it had very high fps on games like battlefield 4 and arma 3.

Why isn't the 690 a good gpu for gaming?

It's not that it's not good, the GTX 690 is a beast, but it's a dual card GPU, you might as well pick two 770s for more performance, but still, single card solutions like the GTX 780ti would be preferable over the GTX 690 cause it's cheaper, has no micro-stuttering, and is nearly as fast as the GTX 690

Thanks i'll put two 780ti in sli

And I agree... That's a wow.

To the OP

IF you have that much budget, you should be looking at something like buying Gtx 780 sli with a 2500 x1600p monitor to take advantage of your budget.

Having 6000 dollars to spend and gaming on 1920 x 1080p does not make sense to me.
