So I listed all the parts... BUT. Stocked with the PSU. I'm looking for a 750w PSU and no idea which one to get, a modular or a non-modular? What's the benefits for each? I prefer Quality/Performace > Everything. Also, we're not doing SLI and oc'ing incase someone would ask. We're using it mainly for hard-gaming, streaming, vid recording. Thank you. :)

A modular PSU allows you to install only those power cables that you actually need and therefore you can keep the wiring much tidier and there are less cables to restrict airflow inside the case. The only captive cable on a modular PSU is the main one which connects to the motherboard (because this one is always required).

With a non-modular PSU, none of the cables can be detached from the unit. They are all permanently connected to it, including the ones you don't need, so having several spare cables and connectors just hanging about looks untidy and they may get it in the way when you're trying to install some hardware.

A non-modular unit offers no advantages over a modular one (at least not that I can think of).

Modular is the way to go these days.

If you want a brand recommendation (quality & reliability): Seasonic, Corsair or Antec.

I see. I think im going with the modular one. Im a seasonic fan, which modular 750w should I get though? I'd love you to choose from here: http://dynaquestpc.com/product-category/components/power-supply-psu/power-supply-psu-700w-900w/

Thanks for the fast response. :)

Also, someone said 600w is enough. Do you really think that I should upgrade the PSU at all?

Though the three PSU brands he mentioned make good products not all of their products are equally as good, for example advoid the Corsair VS and CX series.

A key thing is to make sure they are 100% japanese capacitors.

XFX use Seasonic IO which imo Seasonic are the best PSU manufacture, period. XFX XTR range are a great BangForBuck in the Modular PSU range.

EVGA also have some nice options but I think either the 550 or 650w XFX XTR psu would be fantastic for you!

Hi! Thank you replying. I agree that SeaSonic has the title for it. But can you recommend each unit for SeaSonic and Corsair? I'll canvass these two in each store here. Newegg links would be fine. :) Thank you.

Ugh. All the units you listed seemed to be not available. You could take a look here @ www.dynaquestpc.com
Got limited options, and it's bad. 🙁 Thanks for suggesting mate!

What about these guys bro?

NZXT Guardian 921 RB Black Steel

NZXT Lexa S

NZXT Source 340 (S340) Mid tower

They're almost in the same price range.

Thanks for replying. :)

I love NZXT cases (the modern simple look). I would grab the Lexa S if I can, it's like having a computer which has the sexy(ish) look of an Alienware without having the HUGE price for the case.

I'm not sure but NZXt might develop the case for the X51, they just look so like a micro-phantom.

The Guardian looks like cable hassle.

Source cases are also great!

I was personally looking at their Switch 810 before I then got my Corsair 900D. Though the 900D is a MEGA ULTRA METAL 1101 GET TO THA CHOPPA case, I think the $120 Switch 810 is a great full tower case and can accommodate LC WAY better than anything else.

The H440 may also be something to look at if you're into water cooling and a sleek looking build.

What is the max price you want to go for btw, just I think that I can select the best cases for you as I think that everyone has personal opinion on looks... I find the Corsair spec cases REALLY Ugly.

Totally agreed with "think that everyone has personal opinion on looks...".

To your question, I can sniff out til 90$ and came to my mind recently that why buy a cheap chassis? When you can afford a high-end vc? So i'm not going to make it cheap. 90$ looks expensive for me, imo.

Source of Casing - Here's their site: www.dynaquestpc.com

That should help you look out. :)

Also, I don't have enough knowledge about the diff. types of cases, is having a full tower case would be better than a mid tower?

it will allow more airflow if you want that but Mid towers will look better on a desk.

My 900D just looks stupid and I plan to get rid of it as the bottom door hinge is broken anyway :/

Less about me more about you. From what it looks like I think our opinions on a good looking case aren't too far apart.

for $90 I would pick up this. Not sure if you can get it but it's a full blown tower fitting ATX boards. Also it has various dust filters and it's phanteks who are rated great.

Yeah, it's a lil expensive but fear not! I've read some reviews about that incredible case it feels like wonderlands on that page. It looks promising! Lol.

So I got my first candidate, we want some competency in here!

That's a great list of cases! Will check it out now! Thanks as always, good guy HH. :)

Also, I've been thinking to get this http://dynaquestpc.com/product/asus-z97-maximus-vii-ranger/ instead of the Asus Z97A? What do you think? :3

EDIT: Nope, Im still getting the Fractal Design R4.

EDIT 2: It looks like the Ranger is incompatible with rest of the build, pcpartpicker says. 🙁
