My old SSD is to small for me and i want buy bigger one (512GB or 1TB). Would be great if it would be fast as well and not sure if i can use any other then SATA one on my motherboard. Could you recommend good and fast SSD?

No contest. The Crucial wins. And not just for price.

M.2 NVMe is not recommended on a Z97.
Mostly a waste of money...it can't be used to its full potential.

Sure.
Any good quality 2.5" SSD in that size and your budget would work.

How much were you planning to spend on this?

The issue is not about working, what USAFRet is saying is that there will be no difference (at most a second) between a fast SSD like the Samsung evo and a faster PCIe NVMe on the Z97 platform.
So it will be a waste of money to buy a faster more expensive disk and not take advantage of the speed that could offer.
