I need help deciding between:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188013

I want good bang for my buck, I will spend a little more buck for upgradability/OCability.

This will be my second build (first was 4 years ago) and I plan to use this system to learn to overclock as well as game, torrent and program.

I know I want the Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 (bang for buck)
I know I want the EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS (bang for buck)
I will get cheep ram now and just make sure my system works then buy the goods when I am ready to OC. (honestly this is the most confusing part about overclocking for me, what ram to buy)

I know Asus has a reputation for easy overclocking which is a plus, but would it be better to get an EVGA mobo with EVGA video card?

Basically I want the board with the most potential and pretty easy to install/manage in a mid tower/full tower since there is only a $20 difference. Also I would like the components to play nicely together.

I am so close to a new system after 4 years. Thanks in advance!

i have the evga ar (board before the revision to A1)... i had some problems initially, but evga's customer support and large active community kept me staying with them... the problems subsided in about a week, and i've been happy ever since (7 weeks now)

I have some experince with the EVGA MB, it is fantastic and very sweet, especially when it comes to oc'ing , I managed to get 3.4 GHz with no problems what so ever, regarding the Memory I have choosed, I think I should have went with something more realistic like the 6400 @800MHz.
My advice to you make sure that u get a decent cooling solution and a solid PSU and good ventilated case.

Good luck in your OC'ing Quest !

note: I finished gathering the parts for my new rig just couble weeks ago, it is as follows:
C2D e6600
EVGA 680i A1 revision + Tuniq Tower 120 (oc'ed @ 3.4)
EVGA 8800 GTX superclocked edition
MEMORY ==>> Corsair SLI EPP 9136C5DF @ 1140 + Corsair AirFlow fans
Creative X-Fi Fatality + Logitech Z5500 Speakers
xCilo WindTunnel FullTower Case + Sunon 120 mm Fans (1 intake + 2 exhaust) these fans push lots of air 95 CFM but sounds like jet engines 43 dB (I love them)
750w PowerTek SLI ready
Zalman Fan Control Panel
2x360 GB WD 16MB cache Raid 0 + VIGOR HCC-S1BK Aluminum 5.25" radiator
LiteOn DVD Burner
19" HP CRT (to be upgraded soon to Samsung or Viewsonic 22" LCD wide screen)
