Hi everyone

So I am planning on buying a new GPU and after some researching I think that the GTX 760 is the ideal one for me(because price and easiest one available for me), but I just need someone to confirm me that and that's why I am asking here. Will the GTX 760 make me able to play newer games on medium or high settings with stable fps for let's say the next 3 years? And how is it compared to GTX 670; 960 and 970?

Solution
Where do you live? The 960 offers better performance and is usually a little cheaper then the 760, unless you buy them use off of Ebay or something.
Bosnia and Herzegovina if you ever heard about that country (lol). And acutally I could buy the 960 too. So would now the 960 get the job done for the next 3 years at least?

Lol i heard of Bosnia, but not Herzegovina. But the 960 pretty much hit the gamer sweet spot in terms of price per performance ratio. You should be able to play most game in 1080p in medium/high settings with comfortable framerates. The 960 also comes with "the Witcher III" for free. If you decide to get the 970 or 980 you also get "Batman: Arkham Knight", but those are like $330~ and $550~ cards.

Well, Bosnia and Herzegovina is the full name of the country haha . Oh yeah I totally forgot about that, and Witcher III seems like a pretty awesome game. So seems I am going with the 960, thank you very much for helping me. :)

I would like to highlight the R9 285 which is in line with the 960 and slightly more powerful, is at a cheaper price than the 960. 960 is good but the price it has makes it look like a rip off especially when you have a more powerful card like the R9 280X near it's price and the R9 285 as I mentioned too.

Oh I have considered them too, but the problem is the r9 285 isn't available for me (I have no access to buy from eBay or sites like these too) and the r9 280x is here by me not really near the price of the 960 unfortunately.

Oh well, guess 960 it is then, will do well for 1080p. :)

Yea I also considered the R9 285 and the R9 280x. When I checked they were all around the $200 price point, but the Nvidia card is alot more energy effiecient and came with the Witcher III for free ($60 bucks value), although its slightly weaker than the AMD Cards. And he also didn't mentioned them in his original post so I assumed that there might be availability issues in his country.

The only card that's promising to serve you for next three years among the three is GTX 970 4GB 256-bit card. Speaking of free games, this card comes with 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" & "Batman: Arkham Knights".

The GTX 960 is available in two versions 2GB & 4GB, both 128-bit cards, with free "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" seems like a good deal. But because of its low 128-bit memory interface, it may not be able to serve you good for next three years.

What I would suggest is, get either GTX 960 or GTX 970, based on whichever is easily available in your locality. But don't expect GTX 960 to serve you for three years. Cheers!
