Splendid
Now that you're not so busy trying to be a bigot, you're almost decent to talk to.
The only nerve that you're striking is that you seem to be sexist and religionist. I don't tolerate either. And I can tolerate a LOT of things.
You're maybe a quarter right about the original religions. They didn't worship the animal, they worshiped the spirit of that animal. There's a huge difference. AND, they didn't worship them as a deity. They worshiped the balance of life, and specifically requested the different spirits of things (plants, rocks and other stuff too, not just animals) to help address their needs with that balance. The fact that their caves were filled with the pictures of animals was merely indication that while you can bring a rock or a shrub home, a bear or tiger generally doesn't come as easily.
You'd think someone who, according to your own words, spent so much time studying religions would know that. But then most people who study religions only look at the exterior and assume the rest. So I guess it shouldn't surprise me any.
And have you completely ruled out the possability that the entire universe was just a random act of Chaos? Just because we exist doesn't mean that we had to have been created.
And I do agree with you that we should be able to laugh at ourselves. I know that I do. Heh heh. You've just caught the serious side of me by previously being such a bigot.
As for women not being able to drive cars, I've personally seen far more accidents caused by men. I figure it's because we're such agressive creatures that we just do stupid things. Of course that's a grand generalization. The reality is stupid drivers come in all shapes and sizes. It just wouldn't be fair to single out any specific gender or race.
I don't argue that with proper care and consideration you (hopefully) will never need thermal protection. I do however find it disconcerting that it'd be so easy to put into a chip and yet AMD refuses to do so. Especially since in real-world use it does come in handy. I don't always remember to check my heat sink when I move my computer. (And I've been known to move it a lot as it travels with me on most long trips.) Sometimes I just forget. So to me just going Intel was worth the extra money because if I hadn't, I might have had to replace the CPU repeatedly. Of course, I didn't actually pay extra money for my system anyway. I actually got it cheaper than it'd have cost me to put together a similarly performing Duron system because I know how to find a good deal in a clearance sale.
And AMD doesn't rock any more than Intel does. They both rock, but they also both have their advantages. Intel's biggest disadvantage is price. AMD's biggest disadvantage is VIA. Heh heh. But it's pretty clear that for any one need I could suggest a computer from one company that will outperform a computer from the other company. Be it AMD or Intel, so long as it isn't a Mac, it's generally all good. Or at least it's a step in the right direction.
And before anyone tries to suggest that I'm biased against Macs, I ask that you provide one shred of untampered with evidence supporting that a Mac is any better than a PC.
