No. There are no 6th or 7th gen socket 1151 i9s. You'd need a replacement motherboard(300 series) along with the new cpu.

As you need a new MB anyway, many are looking at the R5-3600 ($200) or R7-3700 which approximate the 8700K in gaming performance...

Agreed with the above. There are no i9s available with the 6th/7th gen platform.

You would need a new 300 series motherboard at least.

The 3600 is great from a value standpoint as it offers 8700k performance, but the i9 9900k isnin another tier pwrformance wise.
