I3 3220 vs Athlon ii x4 760k, Budget gaming pc build.

So im randomly necroing this thread, what build did you end up going with?

for my brother he is getting some i5 and gtx 760 or 770 (still deciding) , for me im either going i5 or the a10-7850k, check my new thread. but if i had a choice, the 760k doesn't have l3 cache which is a big downer, so id get a 4350/6350/8350 and a 7870 (r7 270 or 270x) that should play nearly anything you need on the high or ultra presets.

Just a heads up for your brother, the 770 is the best choice for him, its a bit more powerful than a 680. But i guess he already made his choice

sadly no, im in charge of buyng and building it, but my family and i have been going through financial trouble. Ive decided my 750ti should be enough for now or him, and i will get a 760-770. And since he wants to record lower endish games, tf2 minecraft etc he should be fine. I wish that there was more than a 450w sfx psu, or else when i have the money id push for a 780. What do you use in your rig?

I currently have a ASUS GTX 660ti TOP, but planning on later getting another for SLI or a 780 to replace it.
