i3-4170 vs. i5-4460

I am building my first gaming PC soon and I was thinking of choosing either the Intel Core i3-4170 or the i5-4460. The i3 is only about $115 and the i5 is about $175. The main differences I see are the i3 has a clock speed of 3.7GHz and the i5 has only 3.2GHz. But the i5 has 4 cores while the i3 only has 2. So I was wondering, which one would be better for gaming, the higher clock speed or more cores? If anyone could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

... or processors with overclock capability that Intel dont like we oc them 🙁
