i3 4190 vs fx6300

I'm sure this question may have been asked quite a few times already but I'm never getting a definite answer.
People are saying the i3 outperforms the fx6300 unless you overclock the fx6300. Then they say that in future, the six cores for the fx will pull amd users in an advantage over the i3 users.. so ultimately what's a better Cpu to use in a build today?

The 6-core may benefit you more than to have 2 even if it has hyperthreading. Plus the 6350 is overclock-able where as the i3 is not.

It really just depends on what games you play or what software you run. There aren't any definite answers because there are so many different situations you can have on PC.

Right now it depends what and how you play
If you want to play older games like starcraft and skyrim then the i3

If you want to play BF$ , Crysis3 etc etc then the FX

If you want to play online then also the FX
