[SOLVED] i5-12400 shows only 2 cores and 4 threads, when it should be 6 cores and 12 threads.

My greetings.

It is on an MSI MAG B660M MORTAR DDR4. Before and after updating the BIOS, there have been no changes.

It is striking that when opening the Device Manager, in CPU, 12 appear (threads, I suppose). I used the Intel® Processor Identification Utility and it recognizes that it is 6 cores and 12 threads. But in msconfig only 4 cores appear.

I notice that I had an H110M-R before, with this same Windows 10, but seeing that it 'worked', I did not see the need to re-install anything when I put this MSI board on it. Sure, except for the problem I'm writing to you about.
 
Solution
Open msconfig, clear the Number of processors box and reboot. That is how you get Windows to find all of the available cores and threads.
