i5 2400 vs i3 2130

Hello guys,

Quick question;

I currently have the i3 2130, which I feel to be quite abysmal in terms of fps in regards to LoL/CS:GO/CoD/Heroes of the Storm/any new gen game.

Someone has offered me a 2nd hand i5 2400 for $80 AUD.

Is this worth it?

Would I see a considerable if any jump in performance (fps) regarding the games I listed?

Also is 2nd hand CPU a bad idea? He has stated it is in fully functioning order (not sure whether to believe or not regarding 2nd hand etc).

Also I am going to upgrade my GPU from a 9600 GT to a 280x or something similar, I'm guessing this should considerable boost my FPS, so should I just scrap the i5 2400 idea?

Also would streaming League of Legends at 60fps/1080p be possible?

And lastly, would I be able to play Dying Light at 60fps/1080p?

The I3 is more than enough for LoL or CS. Your major problem is the video card. Upgrading to a R9 270/280 or something will most likely quadruple your FPS.

Just make sure your PSU has enough juice to run the card you wish to take.
