I5 3470

Hey frnds...
This is my new build how is it????
i5-3470+asus P8B75-V chipset +asus 2gb GTX 660 , seagate 1tb hdd with corsair vengeance 8gb ddr3 @ 1600mhz, coolermaster GX 650W psu..........

I want ur help yo guide me abt any changes in my build or is it great for gaming ????? and also future proof for atleast 3yrs frm now....(must run future games...

1. If you won't OC, i prefer a h77 board. and a 3570. but 3470 is good too, price to performance difference from 3570 is great. so 3570 if you have budget and you want to save go 3470, won't hurt much.
2. If will OC, then go z77, and a 3570k.
3. with your choice of graphics card, I think yes, It may/surely run games til that time. but may not max them out, especially on higher res. because today, 660 is at the edge of maxing them out/ or even not "all" are maxed out. but I think 660 is not a bad choice. It would greatly depend on your budget.

yea the 3470 with b75 will work just fine with the gtx 660 for gaming , don't pay more for the 3570 like admbautista said , there is no much difference between them until you get the k version , the build looks fine , but trust me change this cooler master cpu to the xfx 550w or a seasonic or corsair , that psu is loud as hell and perform very bad.

The B75 boards are generally cheaper and yield identical performance. The 3470 is usually significantly cheaper than the 3570 and yields almost the same performance.

OP, the only thing I would change is the power supply. Cooler Master isn't known for quality PSUs and the GX line is one of their worse offenders.

B75 is just fine (especially for the price) but definitely choose a different PSU. 650W is overkill for your system and Cooler Master is garbage anyway, there's a reason they're cheap. I was just going off of pcpartspicker. The XFX 550 sits at $60, $2 cheaper than the Corsair cx600. It is better quality and I should have thrown it in between the two in terms of power & price. Oversight on my part. Apologies.

I think the CX500 is actually the most obvious choice with that pricing, I didn't notice the gap was that big. I'm just guessing the OP may not be from the US.

I dont want to overclock but just play games like crysis 3,MW2,the run, Bf3,COD,etc and a multimedia pc thats all........ so will B75 be great for this and will it sustain the load of gpu???
On newegg H77-m has got worst review and that is only the board that fits in my budget so should i go to that one or keep it as it is????
also plz tell me that 192-bit of 660 is good or 256 bit of 560 is good (in anandtech bench 660 blows off 560)??? What will happen if 192-bit is opted????

no i dont want to overclock at all........ so should I go to B75 rather than H77 bcoz it fits well in my budget.... also for H77-m I can try but on newegg the reviews are bad for this board so what should i do???

Honestly, get whatever's cheaper (I think B75 is). Since you're not overclocking and buying a locked CPU you'll be happy with the B75.

I actually have the same setup (read sig) and am very happy. I got my Asrock B75 motherboard for $55 (bought last September) and the i5-3470 (replaced my i3-2100 1 week ago) for $180.
