i5 3540 bottleneck r9 270x toxic?

ive been running a couple of games on its highest and my cpu seems to be hitting 100% mainly on bf4 and gpu will stay around 85-93 is this normal?

i was playing bf4 on ultra. it should load the card out to 99& atleast

Were all 4 CPU threads at 99% BF4 is well threaded so it's possible but it's not much of a bottleneck if one exists.

they were at 100% all 4 which is really odd. because when i played earlier it wasnt going higher than 90.

i have checked the processors and everything was normal.

though when i ran heaven 4.0 on extreme for 45 min the gpu usage went to 100%max and the cpu usage never went over 70%

Was there any other programs using the CPU in the background?
