Well i bought one, along with a Asus P8Z77 m pro
With no bios changes, it will turbo all 4 cores up to 3.3GHz in multi threaded applications/games. Temps 36-44 c
25-30 c idle
in (example farcry) older games, one core will be at 3.7 GHz, second at 3.3 temps 34-47 c, other cores idle/ background stuff.
In W7 power settings "balanced", idles at 1.6 GHz, and INSTANTLY ramps up when needed.
Power draw at wall socket for complete system(ssd, nvidia 560gtx 430watt psu) is idle 54 watts, 220watts gaming.
all 4 cores loaded at 3.3 GHz (560 plugged in but not used) 96 watts.
PLEASE remember the TDP is the COOLING power requied , NOT electrial power consumption. Its a common misunderstanding not helped by poor reviews on alot of websites.

Hmm true....but max amount of cooling needed is almost equal to maximum Heat dissipated by the chip, which in turn depends on the max electrical power consumed :)
So its an indirect measurement of electrical power, even if its not spot on :)
