I recently upgraded to an i5 3570 from an i3 2120 and when i start the computer i get 5 beeps (which im aware is a cpu error code) and then no display on the monitor accompanied by very loud fans shortly after. When i put my old processor back in everything works fine so im confident that my computer just doesnt like something about the 3570. Ive tried resetting the bios to defaults as well as removing and putting back in the cmos battery. I have a fairly weak psu but i cant imagine that it would work perfectly fine beforehand but fail to even boot properly let alone provide full functionality solely because of that upgrade. I checked and my motherboard does support the cpu, so im just out of ideas at this point. Besides the cpu i use a gtx 1050 and 8 gb of ram. Was i sold a defective part? I bought it off of newegg.com. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!
