Hello, I just ordered an RTX 2060 Super and I know there will be a bottleneck with my i5 3570.
I just wanted to know 2 things: can I run The Witcher 3 at stable 60 FPS on Ultra?
And can I OC my CPU (non K)? if I can, will I have less bottleneck?

Thanks.

Solution
Cpu sets fps limits. Gpu lives upto that limit or surpasses or not, depending on your details settings and resolution.
That 2060 won't have an issue with just about anything at 1080p high/ultra. So you'll get maximum fps no worries. The issue will be with the cpu vrs game code, and Witcher 3 is brutal on a quad thread cpu. It's optimized for 6-8 thread usage. Will you get 60fps? Sorta, average, maybe, not gonna hurt to try it and see, but Witcher3 will be better off on a i7-3770/k or Xeon 1270v2

You'll get roughly equitable results. Whether you can live with that only you can say.

Yeah, that's what I thought...
NO. You will need a new motherboard and ddr4 ram for that.

The 3770k is the best cpu for that board.

So I've been looking around for some prices, and it looks like the i5-9400F removes almost completely the bottleneck. Of course I'll have to buy a new motherboard and RAM, but is it good? It's also very cheap, for around 160€. What do you think?

9400f is a very good option.

I would suggest one of these:

The bottom outperforms or ties an I7 8700k. Its a much better value, but more expensive.

If you cant afford the bottom, you could go ryzen 5 2600, which would be cheaper than the 9400f while still performing close.
