Can anybody aid my query , i will be much appreciated . On internet i was unable find a flawless answer so drawing the attention of experts :) regarding this controversy

The i7-3770k would have a slight advantage of +200MHz speed than the i5-4590 in terms of Base Clock Speeds. Plus, the i7 is unlocked so it can extend that gap even more.

However, for gaming, I wouldn't recommend the i7 due to its disadvantage of price/performance. You won't be needing 8 threads in gaming (as the i7 has 4 cores with HT) so why pay more for what you don't need. You won't see a noticeable difference in that department that the i5 can't provide. Single-core performance-wise, they are almost the same. But value-wise, it has to be i5 hands down.

Better still, get the unlocked i5-4690k.

There are no games that would take advantage of the i7's Hyper Threading, and due to its age it would be harder to find an 1155 socket Mobo to pair it with. The 4590 is 1150 which are still available everywhere! They use about the same amount of power, so no issues there. Unless you can save heaps by buying the i7, there is probably no point as processor speed is quite comparable but older hardware is harder to find, obviously. Otherwise they're very similar processors in terms of performance.

Now in 2018, can you said the same? LOL, At least add "for current game" while advising others. I happen to see this old post since I bought a used i7-3770K to upgrade my I5-2320 with Z77A-G45 msi motherboard (office gamig rig). Its double the fps of my amd 480 4Gb compared to i5-2320 and certainly be better than i5-4590 in any aspect for BF1. I added user.cfg to activate BF1 to use all 8 threads instead of standard 6 threads (even standard BF1 needed 6 thread) and it goes even better, although it still ran 95% most of time. I got a bad i7 that can only oc to 4.2GHz.

OP might stuck with the i5 due to misinformation. If you are not 100% sure, just use the right word.
