So I've had my i5 4690k at the stock speed of 3.5 ghz ever since i purchased it literally almost 2 years ago today. I tried overclocking it once to 4.0 ghz without changing the voltage from stock and i got a blue screen like a day later. I haven't tried again ever since then. I never changed the voltage because i have no idea what i need to set it to. I wanna get my CPU to a 4.2 - 4.5 stable overclock but the voltage is what is stopping me. Like i wouldn't even know where to start on the voltage at all. Also how long would my CPU last on a OC of 4.2 - 4.5 ghz since i heard overclocking reduces the lifespan of your CPU. Keeping in mind that I've had it for 2 years now and i don't have the funds of getting a new CPU at the moment.
