Question i5 4690k Overclock

I currently have my i5 4690k overclocked to 4.2 Ghz and a core voltage of 1.2. is temps 39-40 to high idle?

Under load I never see more than 70, 75 maybe max for a few seconds.

That's a little high for a 4.2GHz OC on a devils canyon cpu. I'd suggest doing some research on OC for that cpu, Asus ROG forums is good advice, the terms might be slightly different, but the theory is the same, especially concerning ring voltages, LLC, short/long durations, c-states etc.

Does anyone have any idea on stable clocks for this setup? Right now I am at 4.2 Ghz at 1.2 volts? Afraid maybe my voltage is slightly high?

4.2GHz should be achievable (of course YMMV depending on chip lottery). Are you still on "Auto" voltage in the BIOS, or have you dialed back voltages manually?
