My i5 6500 is running at around 80° at its peak but never passes. I'm using a Corsair h100i gtx and I've seated it multiple times to make sure. I'm using arctic silver 5 paste and it is over clocked to 4.7ghz on a ASrock z170m extreme 4 mobo. All answers are welcome!

Greetings!

80c is fine for a peak temp on your CPU seeing as it is overclocked at 4.7GHz. The higher the clock, the higher the temps, but your h100i seems to be doing its job. One question, what are your temps at idle? As long as these aren't high (30 - 40c) and you don't near 90c under load, you are golden:)

Hope this helps!

To Adrian and Albionm00n-

This processor seriously walks all over my friends 6600k and I love it! It kinda pisses him off but I can't help but to smile and rub my hands together in an evil way. Haha! But in all seriousness I can't wait to get this guy up to 4.8 stable! :p I have another thread where I did a 5.0 OC and ran a bench test with it. But according to everyone it was a really bad idea that I even attempted it... :/
