i5 7500/gtx 1070 vs i5 6500k/rx580

Hi everyone,

I'm about to buy parts for my first build. Up until now I've been pretty set on a i5 7500 with a Hyper 212 evo and a gtx 1070. This fits into my budget pretty well. Recently i heard about the rx580. With the price decrease I would be able to upgrade to a 7600k and a corsair h100i v2 cooler, however, not an overclockable motherboard.

Another thing is that i live in South Africa but I'm going to America on holiday in a few weeks where everything is a metric f@!k ton cheaper, but i have to bring everything back. I'm not sure which of the 2 cards are smaller and which cooler is smaller.

My other specs (if yu're interested):

MSI gaming B250 mobo
WD blue 1tb hdd
WD blue s50gb m.2 ssd
16gb Ballistix sport LT ddr4 ram

If you can get the GTX 1070, jump on that. You will not notice a difference between the two CPUs are it's probably a 10-15% difference int he overall quality of the two. However, they are quite overpriced, due to the mining craze. It may be hard to get one for about $400 USD.

Thanks. I was thinking the same. I have got a 1070 available for the right price though so im not too worried about that
