So I currently am running a GTX 570 superClocked edition, an I5 760, and 8GB of Ram. Bf3 runs decent, but I want buttery Smoothness. So, I could just use all my cash and Get a Gtx 670, and be done. Or my friend could sell me his 660TI for cheap, like $160, and then after selling my 570, I would have enough for a $300 dollar I7. Just want the best performance for 1920x1080 Bf3 Ultra settings.
I'm bringing this here, because people say the 660ti isnt nearly as powerful as a 670, but I somewhat doubt that. Anyways Hope to see some responses :) Thanks!

I would just sell the 570 and buy the 660ti because that is a good deal on it. Have you overclocked your i5 at all? I not, I would invest in an aftermarket cooler and try it. It is still a solid CPU and shouldn't be that big of a bottleneck in BF3, even with a 660ti. Save your money for a bigger upgrade down the road.

I think you are right, but two things, can some one link me to an i5 760 overclock guide? I heard its more difficult and a little different then other i5's and also, does the 660Ti give much better performance than a 570 or close to 670? Just really want to make sure the investment is totally worth it :) Thanks for any help. And I have a I think it's an H80 closed like liquid cooler, something like it. My CPU's cores each stay around 29-31 degrees Celsius when not doing anything much. I noticed in bf3 each rises to around 49-55 degrees Celsius and 62 at the most.

the 660ti is (i think) slightly faster than the 570, runs cooler, and overclocks well.
i dont know any overclocking guides for the first gen i5 sorry, however at those temperatures you should definately be able to get a good OC (the chip should be safe up to 95oC)

GTX660Ti on its own,is more then enough for 1920x1080 with low or no AA.However I have never been a fan of systems build for just one game.So if you want a broader spectrum of games who play nice on your PC,I would suggest a GTX670+nice cooler and OC.

Thanks dude :)
I'm going to leave this open just to see if any other opinions happen to float about, but thanks, If I do overclock my i5(Im a noob at CPU overclocking) will my system and games generally run smoother?

in certain games, (such as BF3, crysis 2/3, planetside 2, skyrim) that are CPU intensive you will see massive performance gains
