I do not stream on do video encoding just gaming on a 1080p monitor, I have a fx-8350 and am in dire need to update. Which one would be better if I get the k series I myself will probably not overclock it maybe down the road when performance suffers on new titles. So should I get the k for .3 boost in base frequency and also be safer for the future or go with the 7600

Go for i7, its more future proof than i5. If the price different is only $10 between K and non-K , then its best to get K version since you have the liquid heatsink already. When you get K i7 then you must have Z270 motherboard.

Good luck

If I was building a new PC for "future-proofing" and had $350 to blow on a CPU, I'd get the R7-1700 and cross my fingers that OS scheduler, microcode and a bit of software optimization is all that truly stands in the way of Ryzen rising more repeatably to the top of most gaming benchmarks and get rid of the odd SMT behavior.

The price between the CPUs are cheap but the Z motherboards are quite a bit more

I have always gone the AMD route, and Ryzen looks awesome. But my old i5 2430m kicks my desktop A10-5800k in nearly every respect. I broadcast on the radio using SAMS, and it always maxes out my desktop to 100%, but my laptop gets to 15% max. It will be a long time before AMD can get that back, because everything in the last 10 years has been optimized for intel. That is such a shame, but i will probably be looking at an Intel build for my next comp
