i5-8400 processor out of stock?

The i5-8400 went up a lot in prices in my country because of the lack of stock, u guys recommend me to buy the processor at his current price (around 230$ in my country) or should i wait one more week or two?
btw i already bought the motherboard so i cant get an amd ryzen processor, it only supports 8th gen processors from intel

What motherboard do you have?

9th gen Intel is supposed to be coming out in a few weeks which should work with 8th gen boards however the BIOS needs to be updated. I'm using a G5400 as a placeholder in my system until the 9600K comes out but I'm also using it for the BIOS update.

I have a Motherboard Micro-ATX ASRock B360M Pro4, and the 8500 and 8600 their prices went up aswell

Well i'm from croatia and i just checked prices... omg i5 8400 goes for 280 - 360$ in reputable stores! They are out of their fuken minds! On amazon.de they are 260€+shipping! They are all out of thein bloody minds, i will just stick to used pc's parts forever, because this is just silly. Last time i checked i5 8400 was 200$ new in local store. I'm not playing this stupid retailers game, im boycotting all new products, just buy uses shit, im on g4560 (40$ used) and R9 380 ex miner card (100$, bought two, they run perfectly fine) and it gets the job done, im not playing new triple X games anyway because they all suck donkey balls. Who here wants to paly tumb raider on ultra eh? Anyone? I wouldnt even play it for free on low-medium, i'm a pirate, i value my time.
