Sup! I need help: will I be able to record my screen while playing Fortnite using i5 8400? Or should i buy i7 8700 instead? If i can record 1080 60fps on i5 8400 then I save some 100€ and buy 2070 Super
If I pick i7 8700 I buy 2060 Super
Game is only Fortnite, please do not suggest my any Ryzen

Solution
Fortnite is very very sensitive to CPU usage and you will have a bad time streaming with the CPU at high framerates no matter if you go with AMD or intel.
You are going to end up using geforce experience for streaming anyway so go with the highest clocks you can afford to keep low FPS as high as possible.
Read around in a few forums about streaming fortnite before you make your decision.

Really the 9400 isnt amazing for streaming, but its pretty good for gaming. A 9500 just has a higher turbo.


9700k with 2080 super is the best pairing for sure.
Cpu I want is 9700 non k. So I a bit dont get you. Will Gigabyte B360M DV2 work well with non k 9700? If not please can you write me some good motherboard not hella expensive?
And it will be 2060 Super with i7 9700. Cuz I dont have so much money.

I would suggest the 9700 and 2060 super, although a 9700 and 5700xt would be my pick.
For a non-k 9700, your motherboard should be ok, but it will not boot with an old bios. Your board cannot have its bios updated without a compatable CPU either.

I'm not the best person to explain this, but I'm going to try. I'll link other explanations if you dont get me.

The BIOS revision (sometimes referred to as UEFI firmware revision) is some code flashed onto a chip on the motherboard. This code determines a lot of things including what CPUs are supported by that particular motherboard.

When B360 motherboards were first released, 9th generation CPUs did not exist. Because of this, the bios revision on the motherboard did not have support for any 9xxx processors. If you tried to use a 9xx CPU in a motherboard with a bios revision without 9th generation support, the motherboard would not detect a supported cpu and would not boot.

If you buy a B360 motherboard now, it should have a newer BIOS revision that will support 9xxx CPUs, so a 9th gen processor will boot no problem. The issue is that if a B360 motherboard has been sitting on a shelf somewhere for a while, it may have an older BIOS revision and will not boot with a 9xxx CPU. This is a common confusion.

I suggest asking the seller of the motherboard if the BIOS revision is updated for 9th gen support. If it is, your ready to rock.
If not, you will have to buy a 8xxx cpu to proceed with the tedius process of updating the bios revison. If this process fails, the motherboard will be bricked and nonfunctional.

So my suggestion is to do the following.

1) Confirm the seller says the B360 motherboard has an I7 9700 or I5 9400 compatable BIOS.

2) If you want to be extra safe, you can purchase a newer but slightly more expensive B365 motherboard which is 9th generation compatable regardless of BIOS revision. (the 5 at the end is the difference)

I can buy Gigabyte B365M DS3H which is only few bucks more expensive

Thanks for all the replies! I really appreciate it. Would be interesting to hear your opinion: finaly I decided to go with Intel cuz I'm not so smart as you and don't know much about Ryzen and OC. So the quastion is: Whats better fit to me i5 9400/i5 9500+2070Super or i7 9700+2060Super for Fortnite fps? All low 240hz. And i've heard that fortnite is cpu sensitive game.

Definitely the i5 9400 + RTX 2070 SUPER.
There isn't a big difference between 9400 and 9500, don't know if your only game will be Fortnite, but whatever, the thing is as many probably said Fortnite isn't a CPU needing game and can even work on Core 2 Duos, so even with screen recording an i5 will do better than fine

this also gives u headroom to overclock depends on your chip. and u can upgrade to 9700k 9900k in future

EDIT: you need an aftermarket cooler for 9600k if u planning to oc

In half a year I will have money and if it will be necessary upgrade to i7 9700.
