Hi All
I am very concerned about the Cpu temperature when I overclocked it. I used the auto overclocking on the motherboard,it successfully clocked up to 3,4 Ghz and the system booted normally . But went I checked out the temperature, the Cpu skyrocketed to 100°Celsius on idle and the probe alarm also went off indicating it was far above the Cpu threshold of 70°C. I immediately rebooted setting factory defaults in the bios. It booted again and the temperature dropped down to 49°C on idle. Is this normal temperature readings for the I5 750, am I just paranoid and should I look the other way ignoring it?

AUTO overclocking can be dangerous. The BIOS often increases voltages across the system when you set a new speed and these voltages are sometimes out of manufacturer limits or, at the very least, can cause unnecessary heat.
