i5 or i7 for gaming

Hi
I am going to buy a laptop under $1000 and my only option is Acer predator Helios 300 and I am going with i5 with 1060 instead of i7 with 1060. So will there any performance issues while gaming or anything.

P.s - I don't edit at all.

If only gaming, I5 is close to I7 for same gen/tier. I7 will be better if you will streaming at the same time due to doubled threads.

Well it depends on games you play but most of the time the i5 is as good as an i7, some strategy games Will always be better on an i7 as You Will have Quick turns and dont have to wait as much on Ai actions, games like gta V also benefit from hyperthreading and probably future games Will start to do so.
