Hello

I just overclocked my i7-3930K to 4.4GHz @ 1.44V and the temps are about 70C - 80C. During the stress test they go up and come down again and go up and come down again. I was wondering if 1.44V is too much @ 4.4GHz? Also note, that I ran the stress test for a long time and it is stable.

My RIG Specs:

i7-3930K
Corsair 16GB DDR3
Asus P9X79 Deluxe
Corsair Hydro H100i Closed Loop Water cooler
1250 Watt PSU
Coolermaster Cosmos II

While you can and in most cases it shouldnt be too much of a problem with good cooling... i would never go above 1.4 V for 24/7 use...

Just take some time and try (while staying at the same clockspeed) to lower the Voltage.
You want to keep the Voltage as low as possible while also trying to keep the system stable.
I dont think you need more than 1.4 V for 4.4 Ghz on this chip...

If it is stable at 1.4 V that would bring down these temps quite a bit :)
would love to hear if it worked

Well 4.4GHz i got with 1.420v I can't drop lower than that and don't know why.
However, I did get 4.3GHz at 1.356v. I am sticking to this. :)
