Hello everyone.
So i recently unparked my I7-4702MQ in my Acer V3-772G laptop, got a huge performance boost but temperatures went from 75 degrees celcius to over 90 under heavy load and my question is - is it ok for cores to run with those temps or should i get a cooling pad to increase cooling. Im asking here because i couldnt find any info about max. Acceptable temperature for that cpu. I havent noticed any cpu throttling the performance always is fine and stable.

I have cleaned whole laptop before unparking it was like 3 days ago so thats not the issue.

90 degrees is pretty warm, you could try reapplying thermal paste and using a cooling pad but if that doesnt work I would undo what you did if its possible, the cooler probably cant handle what you have done laptop coolers have a fairly small capacity to dump heat out. I believe the maximum temp for those processors is around 105 degrees (could be wrong) but I would be saying 90 is too hot

Okey so i have put him on pads so theres a bit more space left under laptop and temps are around 75-80 under preassure now as it was before so is it ok or should i get the cooling pad/reapply thermal paste?

Its better but i would still look at the cooling pad. You dont have to redo thermal paste if the cooling pad helps, a cooling pad is just generally a good idea when heavily using a laptop

Thank you very much. What are the "normal" temperatures for that cpu?
