Hello guys good morning.

I came here with a burning need to understand the reason why the i7 5775C is so underrated and why some big websites claims that he is the best i7 for Gaming.

I currently have an i5 4590 paired with a MSI H97 Gaming 3 Motherboard, and i'm looking to upgrade soon. [Ps: I might as well upgrade in 2018 for HEDT Platforms, RYZEN or Skylake-X, when i have the budget.]

The i7 4790K still holds it's own even against the i7 7700K, in fact, it costs the same as the i7 7700K here on my country.
However, the i7 5775C is oddly cheaper, about $50-60 Cheaper than the i7 4790K/7700K, at that price is really tempting to get it.

I want to know also, why i can't find much more information on the "Fastest CPU for Gaming" as i can with the i7 4790K/7700K.

I'm also interested regarding the Clock Speeds of the i7 5775C, how far can it go? Base 3.3Ghz Turbo 3.7Ghz.

And most of all, considering everything, is it worth getting the 5775C over the i7 4790K considering it is cheaper?

Thanks Guys, i really appreciate your help.

IF It's cheaper than an i7-4790k it becomes a very good option. Usually the i7-5775C is much more expensive than most i7's in most countries, hence why It's usually not chosen by/recommended to the regular consumer.

For you it could prove to be a good option however, because the price is right.

I agree, I dont know if its the "best i7 for gaming" its clocked quite a bit lower than the 4790k and from a quick search it doesn't seem to overclock very well. But if it is indeed that much cheaper than the 4790k where you live it sounds like a good buy, its more expensive than the 4790k in the US.
