i7-5820k or i7-6700k?

Hi,

I am having a bit of trouble deciding if I should go x99 or z170.
Can anyone help me out? What would last me longer, and what would be more future proof.
It will be running with a Gigabyte 980 Ti G1 Gaming, and I am planning on getting the Acer XB270HU monitor.

Either will work for gaming. The 1151 socket will be supported longer, but I would choose the one you can get the best deal on.

Depends on the game and other things you do with it. But for the most part, it won't be a huge difference. If you do any editing or a lot of multi tasking, I would opt for the 5820k.
