What is a safe temp for the i7 7800? I was running a high end game and it got to about 90

Yes I do, when I play a high end game it ends up at 90!

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080, that shouldn't be the problem

Install latest drivers for cpu and gpu. Make sure everything is running porperly, make sure the cpu cooler is installed correctly and that it has thermal paste.
