I went through the forums a little but could not find any reference to OC on this CPU. I plan to build a new system this January and thus far i feel i will end up going with a i7 860 on the new MSI big bang fusion board. i have jumped around the web and found benches and stats of an OC up to 4Ghz average, 3.8 seems to be common place as well. I however would prefer to take things up a notch to 4.5Ghz+ 5 if i can. i found 1 reference to a ausi who pushed 5.4 on nitro, I plan to run a single loop on a 360mm rad for my cpu alone. has anyone here done any oc work on this cpu? if so what have you reached, and was it stable?

yes i plan to run a 500L/h pump, through a single load loop for the CPU on a tri 360mm rad with 3/8th OD tubing. people seem to hit 4Ghz on air so i dont think 4.5 is out of reach, i plan to keep HT on.

well im lookin at a single 360mm rad loop for the cpu, i dont think temps will be an issue, seems most people hit 4 ish 3.8-4.2 then cant break that wall. but we shall see, i submitted a request to get a spisific chip from intel. as opposed to a random die.
