Im a n00b plz help
Specs:
8700k
Asus Prime z370-p
3200mhz 16gb
1070ti
550w
watercooled with a 240mm radiator.

Problem!:

So I loaded the preset 5ghz OC profile on the board with the xmp profile. Was fine for some weeks and the crashes started :'(
Im a novice at this and I've got no idea why this is happening and I would like some pointers/help in getting better.

I'm thinking about copying these settings (

) would that be unwise of me??

Kind regards

Using Auto overclocking utilities or copying someone else's OC settings is a bad idea as every chip is different. Since you used a auto overclocking utility my guess is that the voltage is way too high for the CPU and while that doesn't normally cause crashes it can lessen the lifespan of the CPU significantly (electromigration). For now I would revert the OC back to stock (you can leave the XMP profile for the memory overclocked). Hopefully this stops the crashes. If it does then read up on the Intel Temperature Guide by CompuTronix and learn how to overclock correctly, the guide has the tools needed to do so.

If the crashes don't stop after reverting the overclock to stock then your going to need to figure out why, maybe it's a temp issue, maybe power delivery.

The crashes has stopped. Temp never got higher than 83 and the oc passed 50 turns on Intel stress test
