Hi, I have this system:

i7 920
asus p6t deluxe
corsair 3x2 1600mhz
true black thermalright
cosmos s

I o.ced it at 3.4 only by changing the bclk to 160 and leaving rest to auto as I read here in forums. Here are some tests I ve made. Tell me ur observations cause I dont know much about o.c. and I dont know if it will be stable for 24/7 work on 3d applications which stress the pc the most.

Also I would like to know which test to use for like 24 hours straight to check systems stability

thank u

I also have the i7 920. Mine is currently running stable at 3.2GHZ on the stock cooler. I overclock it in stages of 100MHZ and then run it for a few days and then I increase the MHZ a bit more once it is stable enough for me.
Rather do it in small steps than one big step.

I found 3.4MHz to be the most stable so far. I've been using it for over a month with very heavy CPU utilization from HD-video editing. I haven't had too much success over 3.4MHz, but that maybe a lack of effort too.

Do u think it will be stable enough?
I ll post my new settings when I ll be back from work cause I did some things manually.

When I first started, the auto settings had my vcore at 1.55 and I was only at 3.4 at the time. If I were to make any recommendation, it would be to not use the auto feature, and enter the voltages manually.
