that has what to do with this review?

try as you might you arent getting any inside info into the dewd, and you can spread all the disinfo you want about me, one day these electrons wont exist and with it your slander.

You arent worth the effort and you know it 😴 😴

are you going to get back on topic or keep venting your mangina ness?

Just found this thread, and after skimming already found a hole in your argument. Even to this day, not many games are coded specifically to i7... that is a fallacy.

Take Far Cry 2 for example. Sure, they claim to be "Optimized for i7." Intel paid them money to say that, instead of saying "Up to 8 thread support." I can guarantee that when AMD releases their 6-core Istanbul, that that game, or rather any game that claims "i7 optimization," will see a boost.

hey colonel nice to see you and I believe that you are correct here

I think there is more a chance for gfx preference in coding for open gl/cl etc and not so much for cpus. the cpu either deals with the tasks faster or slower where as open gl / cl is a different matter

Vern. You cannot change the basic specs of a platform. Trying to force them to be the same is illogical. Compare them as they exist. Compare 1366 against AM3 as the exist. Don't try to force a 3rd channel into AM3 or drop clocks to match. Take it for what it is.

That is a fallacy how?

Do you have information proving that most pc games aren't coded on i7's? If you do, I'd like to see it.

Note I said coded *on* i7's, not coded *for* i7's.

You two quit whining. My gosh. Bunch of teenage drama queens. However, I will side with Green on this one.

It could easily read the other way around, but we both derailed this. It takes two to tango.

And to give a comparison, I have 13 windows open, and am using 1.3GB of RAM, with 54 processes. The average average user uses far less then that, I would venture to guess. For the average user there would be no real difference between 4GB of RAM, and 144GB of RAM, whether or not it's dual or triple channel.

I get the basic idea sf but I dont like the premise of the review, anand would never pull that , theyd match as closely as possible and you know it.

Maxi or mini pad to contain that infernal gushing of yours?

I say that it is a fallacy, because it would make little sense to code on i7. Earlier this year, I remember Intel stating that i7 only accounted for 1% of all games shipped.

And just to play devils advocate, do you have any information proving that most PC games are coded on i7?

And you go straight for the snide remark again without commenting on anything of substance. You still unemployed, or did you bother to get a job?

Holy ***. What kind of argument is that?

Because they were coded on an i7 that's why they run better instead of being coded for i7? At least if you said they were coded for i7 then it would make sense. Coded on? ... Just wow.

/headdesk

still digging for info rather than dealing with the topic eh?

you dont deserve facts man, get back to the topic

Exactly.

We have no evidence either way.

You wouldn't know a fact if it was a paint.net trout smacking you in the face.

The lowest end LGA1366 i7 chip beats out the best that AMD has to offer in the home sector. This despite being similarly priced.

explain to me how its even possible that a game can be coded to prefer one brand of instruction sets over another :pt1cable: :pt1cable: Maybe Im friggen whacked here but the only difference i see is the IPC / thread capacity/ and logic circuitry stages.

I am no cpu coder , but t me if you were cpu specific it could mean there would me a more intensive coding process that would make time to market and compatibility an issue.

That deals with the topic how?

I agree it can't. However, Jenny_h is arguing that it can be.

And thats why cpu specific games have to come in two colors or cost 100 dollars? (sarcasm)
