I7 930 vs i7 950

what is the difference?


I use for gaming and want futureproof products.

The difference is about $15 and 0.26Ghz in speed. For a $15 difference I think you want the i7 950.

930 $285 2.8Ghz
950 $300 3.06Ghz

Just 200Mhz, it maybe worth $10 but no more. "Future-proofing" with 2 CPUs in the same range isn't ideal as you can always OC, besides you can probably get the same performance 2 years later for less than half the price.
